“get the body and mind fired up on a winter’s day with the inclusion of maca and lion’s mane in this tasty hot chocolate”

what you need

1 cup hemp mylk (recipe here)
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 1/2 tbsp cacao
1 tbsp maca
1 – 2 tsp lion’s mane mushroom powder
1/2 tsp vanilla paste
1/2 – 1 tbsp honey (as preferred)
1 tsp coconut oil
to serve, dark chocolate, shaved

what to do

Combine all ingredients into a saucepan. Heat on medium, stirring constantly, until warmed to your desired temperature. For extra froth, use a handheld blender and mix the hot chocolate for approximately 30 secs.  Sprinkle with the shaved dark chocolate and serve with a slice of lupin carrot cake with coconut butter icing or banana and date loaf with macadamia nut oil

Thermomix option: Place all ingredients into the Thermomix. Process for 4 mins/80°C/speed 4. For extra froth, process 20 secs/speed 8. Pour into cup, sprinkle with shaved dark chocolate and serve.
