what you need (makes 8-10 bars)
- 1 cup roughly chopped fresh turmeric
- 1 3-inch piece of fresh ginger, chopped
- 4 cups coconut water (or filtered water)
- 1 lemon juiced (about 3-4 Tbs)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 3 Tbs raw honey
- Optional: 1 Tbs tamarind paste
what to do
- Add the turmeric, ginger and coconut water to a blender and blend on high for 30 seconds.
- Transfer to a pot and bring to boil. Turn down to simmer for 20 minutes.
- Strain through a sieve or cheesecloth then add honey, pepper, lemon and optional tamarind paste.
- Once cooled, transfer to a glass jar and store in the fridge.
- Take a shot of this golden goodness each day for optimal wellness.
