Makes a delicious home made Satay Sauce, so you can enjoy this traditional sauce with no added preservatives or additives.
Ingredients
Coriander seed, cumin seed, turmeric, fennel seed, ginger, black pepper, mild chilli, caraway seed, white pepper, garlic, nutmeg, green cardamom seed.
Blended and packed in Australia from local and imported ingredients.
Use
SATAY SAUCE
1 tbs Satay Spice Mix
½ tbs peanut oil
½ tbs Gula Melaka or soft brown sugar
6 tbs peanut butter
½ cup water (approx.)
Heat a saucepan and dry roast the spice powder for approx. 1 minute – do not overcook. Add oil, sugar and peanut butter, stirring constantly. Slowly add water, still stirring, until desired consistency is achieved. Serve with skewers of chicken, lamb, pork, beef or seafood.
Can also be used with coconut milk for gado-gado sauce.
